End of May

So with the completion of my 2nd Sundown Marathon, and a long-overdue meet-up with my closest friends from secondary school, we've come to the end of May. June will be over in quite a jiffy with my 2-week trip to Taiwan.

It's ironic, how I'd always think or tell myself I'll never want to go through the pains of running another marathon at the end of the last one, yet I will not hesitate in signing up for the upcoming one. Pain builds character I guess. Hopefully. (: So Standard Chartered, here I come. Makes me wonder whether I'll ever do an ultramarathon one day. I'm really inspired by those who did, really admirable and respectable.

And it is the 3rd consecutive year I'll not be watching Roland Garros finals. But there's less to look forward to this year, with Federer defeated in the quarters, ending his streak of 23 grand slam semi-finals. And he even faces the propsect of losing his no. 1 ranking. It's disappointing, even for fans like me. But as they say, all things must come to an end at some point, and you'd have to marvel at the consistency at which he's been playing at over his career. At the end of the day, I think it's all about going through the whole process and finishing well, in everything one does, and in life. I pray I will.
